A bit of history…
They visit us always, still do and always will … until the day of the fateful meeting. Here’s a little ‘history of sightings from 1500 to after the war.
Around the end of 1500, luminous objects were seen above an Italian monastery. A few years later, a long tube-shaped object is seen in a small town in Scotland, the latter was suspended for a while and then disappeared. In 1619, a streamlined and flamboyant object was sighted near a lake in the city of Fluen in Switzerland.
Proceeding with the years we come to one of the first sightings reported to have occurred in the sea. Is the year 1644 the captain of a merchant ship flying the Spanish, writes in the log book of luminous objects crossing blazing heaven, then they appear to fall and again resume share in training to disappear at high speed. We come to 1731 is December 9 over the sky of Florence are spotted numerous orbs darting light.
In 1755, Lisbon is witnessing a series of developments of some objects in the sky throughout the day and the night of October 15. It has been always easy by modern skeptics classify these bright objects, flaming and swirling as mere atmospheric phenomena, shooting stars, meteors or even planets, let’s consider all the possibilities of refutation, but that the ancients knew about astronomy? how many of the ancients were critically-minded? But back to our testimonies.
In 1816 still other sightings over Lisbon, in the same year in Scotland above Edinburgh huge half moons whizzing in the sky. Two years later, in 1818, an astronomer from Ipswich reported an object remained motionless near the Sun for about three and half hour. In 1820 in the South-East of France above Emburn squadrons of objects make evolutions on three distinct occasions: February the 12, April 27, and September 7 making sharp turns at 90 degrees.
In 1826 an object of gray torpedo shape is noted in Saarbrucken in France, this points toward the ground at great speed but you do not hear any schianto. We are in America now, in Ohio 1833, suspended in the sky there is a bright object hook-shaped.
In November 1833 dozens of people notice a large bright object motionless in the air above the Niagara Falls in upstate New York. The 1 of August, 1871 over the sky of Marseilles in France a giant red disk at 22:43 remains motionless in the sky to nine minutes then moves north and back to the 23 o’clock when the obkect disappears. Is July 6, 1874 when a strange object appears in the sky of Oaxaca in Mexico its estimated size was about 120 meters was shaped trumpet and after remaining stationary for about 6 minutes flew away.
In October 1877, eight bright objects flying in perfect formation appear above the Welsh coast .They appear one night after the other following the contours of the country as if they must draw a card costs.
At the beginning of the 1880s, a long cigar-shaped device was seen above France, from which a small disk would then come off. Two years later the famous Greenwich observatory saw a strange torpedo moving 40 to 200 miles high , the same phenomenon is recognized by other observers in Belgium and the Netherlands. We still have a little more than sixty years ahead of us before coming to the sighting of Kenneth Arnold in 1947. But we can be more than generous, we can discard half of the previous sightings considering them a combination of the worst kind of hallucinations and astrological phenomena.
However there still remains a compelling number of sightings. But … this is just the beginning!
