Ufos in Argentina

The Burzaco case

BURZACO, ARGENTINA

Gilberto Gregorio Cossioli, a middle-aged Argentine gentleman, reported his amazing close encounter on 4 October 1972 to the ufologists of the “Servizio Argentino da Investigaciones Extraterrestres”:

“Hearing some noises … in turning on the light in the room I saw that the clock indicated 3.15 in the morning. I continued the path towards the door, there I stopped to open the right door jamb, and in doing so a very intense light dazzled me and instantly I lost consciousness My senses were not aware of what was happening to me.

What I remember was that I woke up in a small room with a metallic appearance, in which neither doors nor windows nor any other opening could be seen.

Only polygonal pipes could be seen on the walls, and on the roof of the room, the satin sky was like silver, very bright, having fluorescent lights; that because of their brightness it was impossible to look at them.

My sight sense control was not accurate and I could not distinguish the range of colours I was seeing. There were many beings in the room and around me, but their exact number I cannot specify.

They were 2m tall. and 30 cm. roughly and very thin, I believe they were no wider than 20cm. They made me sit on a height-adjustable bench, the seat of which was circular. This emitted lights of indefinite colours… with a needleless device they took blood in little quantity, it was like a suction cup shaped like a funnel.

The mark that you still see on my hand, even if small, was produced by the sample. When I could look at their eyes, I saw that they were hollow and deep … The nose was wide and flattened, and the lips thin.

They were covered in a kind of olive green uniform. It was like a diving suit. The inexpressiveness of their faces makes me think they might have been masked.

They had a wide belt, with squares with flashing lights (measurements don’t ask me, I can’t give them exactly …).

The communication between them and me was established verbally … In fact, when at first I was frightened, the being with the headgear (the others didn’t) told me: ‘Don’t worry, nothing will happen to you’.

This being was the first I heard of and the only one who wore some kind of jacket with a collar … Their faces were very long.

These beings were very kind to me, and their voices were very sweet. While I was in that room, I heard children crying calling their mother, but I don’t know where that crying came from, it may be from some family , but I didn’t see any in there. As one of the beings took my blood away, I looked around me. And so it was that I could see in the pavement some stones piled up … I asked that being if I could take some stone and he said no … Then he looked at another being and bent down, took the stone and me it gave … Before taking the stone I asked him if it contained radioactivity. He told me to take it quietly, that nothing would happen to me.

I didn’t have time to ask him if the stone was terrestrial or not, but I’m sure it belonged to our planet. It was iron pyrite. When I had the stone in my hand, I closed my hand and appeared again at home; I was calm, standing, stone in hand. If I hadn’t had the stone, what happened would have seemed like a nightmare.

Days after my adventure, I began to feel dizzy , and continued to feel it for two or three days. And when I walked it was like I was walking on air. Currently my dog, look like different, scared, and practically not it eats…”.

The testimony was allegedly collected by Argentine ufologists ten days after the fact. Some assessments on the case. It is interesting to note that the cliché perfectly follows the modern abductions studied by Budd Hopkins. The witness wakes up around 3, as happened to many American ‘kidnapped’, and loses some motor and sensory faculties. Blood is taken from him and a scar remains as evidence of this. As in the recent American IR-4s. Curiously, inside the spaceship, an alien communicates with him using the classical linguistic structure of Argentina, giving him “you” instead of “you”, form, this one, not used in South America.

Almost as if the entity was perfectly documented on the customs of that country. Again, the creatures, defined as tall and thin and with studded belts, are very reminiscent of certain entities ‘rediscovered’ by ufologists and the media in 1989, after a series of sightings in the Soviet Union and in America. Again, the beings seemed to communicate telepathically with each other, and this element has been found in various testimonies, especially in North America.

Two interesting facts noticed by the witness, the ‘screams of children’ and the presence of stones inside the disc. With regard to the screams of children, this element seems to belong, more than in the reality of the lived experience, to the oneiric aspect of the same. In fact, many abductees lose the real sensorial dimension of what happens at the moment of the event. Some, such as the Italian Zanfretta, had a distorted perception of dimensions and had the impression that the disc and the entities changed in height and width; others, like many American and South African abductees, have lived the experiences as in a lucid dream, “passing through walls”, flying and seeing aliens fly (Pascagoula’s case), seeing the rooms of the house lengthen or the aliens changing shape.

In this sense, the cries of children heard by Cossioli seem to be attributed more to a sort of state of sleep-wake than to a real impression of what they experienced. On the other hand, the presence of terrestrial finds (the stones) inside the spaceship seems realistic: the UFO literature overflows with sightings of aliens who, mostly went down in isolated areas, instead of making official contact with the inhabitants of the Earth as one would have expected. someone, just ‘stealing’ samples of soil, grass and, in some cases, animals.

Finally, the fact that the witness suddenly found himself at his home is indicative of a possible ‘missing time’ that ours did not detect. The analysis of the stone by a commodore and a mine worker friends of the witness showed that it was iron pyrite, a very common material on Earth (but also on the Moon, since this particularly struck the witness) and therefore the ‘find’ cannot be considered as a sure proof of what happened.

However, the case itself shows some interesting elements of study.

Cesare Valocchia was born in Rome in 1970. He is a telecommunications specialist with dedicated fibre optics and data transfer curses. He cultivates two main passions: volunteering in 118 ambulances and ufology. Instructor of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation maneuvers for adults and children, he collected his experiences as a volunteer on the means of the 118 national health emergency service in Rome in an ebook entitled “Non dirmi grazie” “Don’t tell me thank you” His motto is: Helping those who suffer is the best payment. He has devoted himself to ufology since the early 1990s, and has been running the website www.myuforesearch.it since 2011. He conducted the first analysis on the “dancing” Sun of Medjugorje, which linked the UFO phenomenon to the Marian phenomenon. In May 2017, the article was published in the official journal of the National UFO Center. Further analysis of the sighting of unknown flying objects during the “Sun dance” around the world can be found on his website. He has been a member of the National Ufologic Center since 2019.
